The 2018 Ride: June 28th to July 1st
We are back on bikes: This year we will ride from Poznan to Berlin (Germany). In old TechBikers tradition the ride will take the participants on a 450 km trip from east to west. But the journey will already start a day before the actual ride: on Thursday, 28th of June the participants we will have our kickoff-meeting at our main partner DKB in the heart of Berlin, before we will be shuttled from Berlin to Poznan. All luggage and bikes will be on board and we will have a great get together in Poznan at the opening venue banquet. An overnight stay at a special hotel will round off the transition day.
The first leg will go from Poznan directly west towards Skwierzyna, where will will stay at a nice castle hotel. Before we get there, we have to master the first part of the ride over 130km with only some minor ascents.
After dinner, sleep and breakfast the second leg will leave heading north-east . The region we will be passing is the region around Gorzow with beautiful nature and great bike roads. We will have great rest places and a fantastic scenery making the 100km distance to the day so much easier to achieve. The second leg will end in the village of Kostrzyn .
On the final day the tour will be going through the "Märkische Schweiz" and enter Berlin from the north. The ride will the end with its final under the Brandenburger Tor in the centre of Berlin. The final party and fare well will be at the Axel Springer Loft close to the Brandenburger Tor.
The TechBikers ride is, once again, supported by professional bike guides. Not only will they take care of your safety, they will also be responsible to help with any problems you might have with your bike. And most important: they will make sure that every rider reaches the final destination with a lot of fun, in great shape and stress free manner– never mind how fit you are or how experienced you are in road cycling. Do not forget: TechBikers is not a race, it is an event to have fun and support a good cause.
