The 2019 Ride: June 20th to 23rd

We are making it happen again… and this time from north to south: we will ride from the Baltic Sea to Berlin. TECHBIKERS will continue its tradition: a fantastic ride with approx. 40 cyclists riding 450 km for the reason of communicating, donating and sharing a great experience.

The journey will already start a day before the actual ride: on Thursday, 20th of June we will have our kick-off meeting at our main partner DKB in the heart of Berlin, before we will be shuttled from Berlin to the small half island Rügen in the Baltic Sea. All luggage and bikes will be on board and we will have a great get together in Bergen auf Rügen at the opening venue banquet. An overnight stay at a special hotel will round off the transition day.

The first leg will go from Bergen auf Rügen 30 km to the famous Rügenbrücke, where we will cross over to the main land. Following the coast line northwards we will enjoy the Vorpommerische Boddenküste until we head south away from the Baltic Sea. Passing the Richtenberger See we will then arrive at our first on tour overnight stay. Where that is stays a secret but it is surly a very unique place!

After dinner, sleep and breakfast the second leg will leave heading south. The region we will be passing is the region around the Kummerower See with beautiful nature and great bike roads. We will have great rest places and a fantastic scenery making the 115km distance so much easier to achieve. After passing the Mecklenburgische Schweiz the second leg will end in the Müritz-Nationalpark.

On the final day the tour will begin with a shuttle with a bus out of the restricted Müritz-Nationalpark. So the actual cycling will start in Neustrelitz. The 130 km towards Berlin will be a joy with many lakes and gorgeous roads. We will enter Berlin from the north passing the well-known Berlin-Tegel airport. The ride will the end with its final under the Brandenburger Tor in the centre of Berlin. The final party and fare well will be at the Axel Springer Loft close to the Brandenburger Tor.

The TECHBIKERS ride is, once again, supported by professional bike guides. Not only will they take care of your safety, they will also be responsible to help with any problems you might have with your bike. And most important: they will make sure that every rider reaches the final destination with a lot of fun, in great shape and stress free manner– never mind how fit you are or how experienced you are in road cycling. Do not forget: TECHBIKERS is not a race, it is an event to have fun and support a good cause.
